I don't alway use a primer under my makeup, sometimes I forget, but I prefer to use one. I used the The Body Shop Instablur up until just a couple weeks ago but I can tell my skin is getting dryer now and that one doesn't work for my skin anymore so I gave it to my sister who has more oily skin. The primer I use now, which I have used before and really like when my skin is normal to dry is the Lumene Illuminating and Smoothing Primer. It does what it says and makes foundation goes on nicely even on the slightly dryer patches.
For foundation I'm using the Bourjois Healthy Mix in Light Vanilla. This is a quite dewy foundation that I would say probably works best for people with normal to dry skin but I have seen people with oily skin using it as well so maybe it works for most skin types? It has a medium to full coverage in my opinion and I really like that, especially now when it's getting colder and I can get a bit red on my cheeks as nose.
To apply my foundation I will either use the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge or the E.L.F. Powder Brush. Which one I use depends on how much time I have. It takes longer when I use the sponge but I really like the natural result it gives so I will use it when I have time. The E.L.F. brush is a great buffing type brush for a great price.
Now for concealer I use MAC Pro Longwear in NC15. It has good coverage, lasts for a long time and everyone love it. I usually apply it with my finger and start to blend it and then I will go over to the sponge if I used to for foundation, and if I didn't I use the E.L.F. Blush brush for my concealer.
(I used the sponge for both foundation and concealer in the picture above)
My Powder is also one that many people love. Rimmel Stay Matte in Transparent. I do like this powder but it's a bit too matte for me right now so I have to be a bit careful with it or it could look a bit cakey on my skin. I use the Bubbi Powder brush with it which is quite big so that makes it easy to not apply too mush.
That was my skin, now over to eyebrows!
I use the Wet N Wild Ultimate Brow Kit in Ash Brown with the Zoeva 317 Winged Liner Brush to fill them in and I just follow their natural shape. Then I have recently started using the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown to set them in place. I like doing that because it gives them more shape in a really natural way.
